Lucknow Tremendous Giants captain Rishabh Pant was fined Rs 24 lakh for sustaining a gradual over-rate throughout an IPL 2025 match in opposition to Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on Sunday.
Since this was Tremendous Giants’ second offence as a workforce, the remainder of the members of the enjoying XI may even be fined alongside the captain, the IPL launch stated.
“As this was his workforce’s second offence of the season underneath Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimal over-rate offences, Pant was fined INR 24 lakhs,” the IPL stated in a launch.
“The remainder of the members of the Taking part in XI, together with the Affect Participant, shall be fined both INR six lakhs or 25 per cent of their respective match charges, whichever is lesser.”
LSG misplaced the match by 54 runs, its fifth of the season, after failing to succeed in the 216-run goal as MI bundled it out for 161.
