England males’s Take a look at Captain Ben Stokes has been dominated out for the remainder of the summer season after tearing his left hamstring whereas enjoying in The Hundred on Sunday. Stokes was taken for scans on Tuesday.
Stokes will miss the three-match Take a look at sequence towards Sri Lanka, which begins on August 21. Ollie Pope will probably be main England’s Take a look at workforce in Stokes’ absence.
“There will probably be no addition to the squad for this sequence,” England Cricket Board acknowledged in a launch.
The all-rounder is aiming to return for England’s Take a look at tour of Pakistan, scheduled to begin in early October. The tour contains three Take a look at matches in Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
