The 2026 NBA Play-In Match will happen from Wednesday, April 15, to Saturday, April 18 (IST), forward of the NBA Playoffs, which start from Sunday, April 19.
The Play-in Match, which is performed after the common season, is contested between the groups positioned 7-10 in every convention, and decides the groups that may take up the seventh and eighth playoff seeds.
Format
The seventh-placed staff in every convention will host the No. 8 staff, and the winner of this contest will safe the No. 7 seed for the playoffs. The loser of this match will face the winner of the No. 9 vs No. 10 contest to find out the eighth staff that qualifies for the playoffs.

- Japanese Convention: Miami Warmth (10) vs Charlotte Hornets (9) – 5 AM IST.
- Western Convention: Portland Path Blazers (8) vs Phoenix Suns (7) – 8:30 AM IST.
April 16
- Japanese Convention: Orlando Magic (8) vs Philadelphia 76ers (7) – 5 AM IST.
- Western Convention: Golden State Warriors (10) vs Los Angeles Clippers (9) – 8:30 AM IST.
April 18
- Japanese Convention: 7/8 loser vs 9/10 winner – 5 AM IST.
- Western Convention: 7/8 loser vs 9/10 winner – 8:30 AM IST.
