T20 World Cup 2026: Sri Lanka replaces injured Malinga with Madushan

Pramod Madushan has been named because the alternative for injured pacer Eshan Malinga in Sri Lanka’s squad for the ICC Males’s T20 World Cup 2026, the board introduced on Friday.

Malinga was dominated out after sustaining a shoulder harm throughout a T20I in opposition to England on February 1.

Madushan, 32, is a medium-fast bowler who has performed 13 ODIs and eight T20Is for Sri Lanka, taking 28 wickets throughout white-ball cricket. He final featured in a T20I for Sri Lanka in 2023.

Sri Lanka, the 2014 champion, is co-hosting the occasion together with India. The island nation is positioned in Group B alongside Australia, Eire, Oman and Zimbabwe.
