Pakistan Champions progressed to the ultimate of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) after India Champions withdrew from the semifinal towards it.
WCL confirmed the Pakistan workforce’s qualification by a social media put up.
India had refused to play towards archrival Pakistan within the semifinals in Birmingham on Thursday, citing the nation’s stand towards any bilateral sporting ties with the neighbouring nation after the Pahalgam terror assault.
The Indian workforce, which incorporates legends like Shikhar Dhawan, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina, amongst others, had already expressed its unwillingness to play towards Pakistan in the course of the group stage.
India Champions superior to the semifinals of the continued World Championship of Legends after defeating West Indies Champions in simply 13.2 overs in its final group match on Tuesday.
Pakistan will now face the winner of the semifinal between Australia and South Africa.
WCL 2025 closing will occur on August 2 in Birmingham.
