The Faculty of Alameda named Gary Payton Sr. as the brand new head coach of the boys’s basketball staff.
“In the course of the interview course of, he spoke about having our student-athletes locally, giving again. The power and fervour that he brings alongside along with his real love for the East Bay is unmatched,” stated athletic director Ramaundo Vaughn.
Payton was the pinnacle coach of NAIA Lincoln College in Oakland for the previous three years.
The Faculty of Alameda went 7-21 final season.
