Sixteen groups can be collaborating within the twenty ninth version of All India J.P. Atray memorial cricket event, which can be held from September 10-20.
The BCCI-recognised occasion can be held at totally different venues together with Punjab Cricket Affiliation’s stadiums at Mullanpur and Mohali and Tau Devi Lal cricket stadium in Panchkula.
Sushil Kapoor, organising secretary of the event, mentioned right here on Friday that 16 taking part groups embrace Indian Railways, Haryana Cricket Affiliation Colts, Himachal Cricket Affiliation, J & Okay Cricket Affiliation, Punjab Cricket Affiliation Colts, UT Cricket Affiliation and Baroda CA.
“Sixteen groups from throughout India have confirmed their participation within the twenty ninth version of the event. These groups can be divided into 4 swimming pools. All of the matches can be performed on league-cum-knockout foundation. The highest staff of every pool will qualify for the semi finals,” he mentioned.
The ultimate match of the event, of 50-over format, can be performed at PCA Stadium, Mohali.
The matches will even be performed at Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium and in Chandigarh.
The event can be performed below the aegis of Punjab Cricket Affiliation, which is affiliated to BCCI.
The winners will get a money prize of Rs 3 lakh and a trophy whereas the runners up staff will bag Rs 1.5 lakh and a trophy.
Vivek Atray, convener of the event, hoped that it will likely be an important preparation for the cricketers for the upcoming home season.
