Australia opener Travis Head turned the seventh batter to attain a century in an ODI World Cup closing on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

He reached his hundred off 95 balls with a single off the bowling of Kuldeep Yadav within the thirty fourth over.

The left-hander is the primary batter to achieve the three-digit mark in a World Cup summit conflict since Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene achieved the feat in 2011 in opposition to India on the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Head can be the third Australian to attain a World Cup closing century, after Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist, and solely the second, after Aravinda de Silva of Sri Lanka, to take action in a run-chase.
