4 American males rank contained in the ATP’s Prime-15 for the primary time since 1997.

On the power of his title run at Tokyo, 21-year-old Ben Shelton rounds out the quartet at No.15. He joins No.14 Frances Tiafoe, No.12 Tommy Paul and No.9 Taylor Fritz to match Pete Sampras (No.1), Michael Chang (No.2), Andre Agassi (No.8) and Todd Martin (No.12), the American quartet that final did the trick in 1997.


Shelton has gone 14-2 in his final 16 matches – he began the season at 96 on the earth, however rose through a quarterfinal run on the Australian Open and a semifinal run on the US Open.

There are presently seven US males within the Prime-50 and 9 complete within the Prime-60.
