Bianca Andreescu has a small stress fracture in her again and can miss subsequent week’s Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.
The 23-year-old Canadian, ranked 41, isn’t certain if she’ll be good in time for the US Open, which begins on Monday August 28. She says she damage her again in Montreal throughout her first-round loss to Camila Giorgi.

“Throughout my match in Washington I began experiencing ache in my again that saved getting worse and I did every thing I may the opposite night time in Montreal to play at my highest degree,” she wrote on Twitter. “All of this led me to bear medical examinations and sadly the outcomes have revealed a small stress fracture in my again.”
Andreescu says she plans to take issues day-to-day for now.
“My major focus will probably be on giving my again the remainder it wants,” she wrote. “I’ll be taking issues day-to-day and aiming to return to the courtroom as quickly as I can, and keep optimistic for US Open.”
