After Junior Wrestlers’ Protest, Advert-Hoc Panel Declares Organisation Of U-15, U-20 Nationals

The ad-hoc panel, managing wrestling affairs within the nation, on Wednesday introduced organisation of U15 and U20 Nationwide championships inside six weeks, hours after junior wrestlers held a protest at Jantar Mantar and demanded dissolution of the IOA-constituted committee. The panel “acknowledged the issues” of the younger wrestlers who’ve been hit laborious by the year-long protests by prime India grapplers. The Committee is planning to organise the nationwide championships for the U-15 and U-20 classes inside the subsequent six weeks at LNIPE, Gwalior,” Bajwa mentioned in an announcement.

“The ad-hoc committee reaffirms its full dedication to the expansion and growth of wrestling in India, fostering a tradition of excellence and perseverance. The younger wrestlers are suggested to proceed coaching and practising for these occasions,” added the assertion.

The ad-hoc panel was arrange on December 27 after the ministry suspended the newly-elected physique below Sanjay Singh.
