Cricket South Africa on Thursday introduced an area organising committee for the 2027 50-over Cricket World Cup – and revealed that 44 of the 54 matches might be performed at eight venues in South Africa.
The remaining 10 matches might be performed in Zimbabwe and Namibia.
It will likely be the primary males’s Cricket World Cup in Africa for the reason that 2003 model was staged in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
South Africa has hosted two Girls’s World Cups since then – the 2005 50-over competitors and the 2023 T20 World Cup when the Proteas misplaced to Australia within the closing.

Former South African finance minister Trevor Manuel will head the native organising committee.
In an announcement, CSA mentioned matches in South Africa might be performed in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape City, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, East London and Paarl.
CSA chairperson Pearl Maphoshe mentioned: “CSA’s imaginative and prescient is to stage a world, inspiring occasion which is able to displays the face of South Africa — various, inclusive, and united.”
