Stars from three generations — Shantha Rangaswamy, Mithali Raj, and Shreyanka Patil — engaged in a vigorous dialogue at  The Hindu Huddle on Friday on the expansion of ladies’s cricket in India.

Shantha, the primary Indian girls’s group captain, spoke about her pioneering position. “We laid the muse. What drove us was the fervour for the sport,” Shantha mentioned in a session titled “No Boundaries: Development of Ladies’s Cricket in India”, moderated by Okay.C. Mithali mentioned the turning level for the game got here in 2006, when the Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI) took management of ladies’s cricket. “In my early days, when the Ladies’s Cricket Affiliation of India (WCAI) ran the game, the monetary side was not nice.
