The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Affiliation (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday was referred to as off.
The sport was interrupted after three floodlight towers went off in the course of the eleventh over of the second innings. After a short break, the match was finally referred to as off.
“The match has been referred to as off,” IPL Governing Council chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed to Sportstar. Earlier, the match had began an hour late on account of a rain delay.
The event comes amid escalating navy rigidity between India and Pakistan. Stories of drone assaults in Jammu emerged in the course of the match was being performed on Thursday night.
India, on Wednesday, hit 9 terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), 15 days after the Pahalgam terror assault on April 22 that left 26 civilians useless.
