The Worldwide Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Government Officer (CEO) will step down from his function, the governing physique introduced on Tuesday in an announcement.
“I’d prefer to thank the ICC Chair, the board of administrators and full cricket group for his or her help and collaboration over the previous 13 years. I imagine that is the best time for me to step down and pursue new challenges. I’m assured that cricket has thrilling instances forward, and I want the ICC and the worldwide cricket group each success sooner or later,” he stated within the assertion.
Allardice joined the ICC from Cricket Australia in 2012 as Normal Supervisor of Cricket. He was appointed because the ICC’s CEO in November 2021. The board is but to announce his successor.
The ICC Chairman Jay Shah stated, “On behalf of the ICC Board, I wish to sincerely thank Geoff for his management and dedication throughout his tenure as Chief Government. His efforts have performed a key function in advancing cricket globally.”
