India’s Ronak Dahiya bagged the bronze medal within the 110 kg Greco-Roman class on the ongoing U17 World Wrestling Championship in Amman, Jordan. Within the bronze medal play-off, Ronak, at the moment ranked two on this planet in his age-group weight class, comfortably disposed the problem of Turkey’s Emrullah Capkan 6-1 to assert India’s first medal from the championship on Tuesday. Earlier, Ronak had misplaced to eventual silver medallist Zoltan Czako of Hungary within the semi-final. The gold on this class was gained by Ukraine’s Ivan Yankovskyi, who beat Czako 13-4 by advantage of technical superiority.
India have an opportunity of a second medal within the 51 kg repechage if Sainath Pardhi wins two bouts.
He’s first pitted in opposition to Dominic Michael Munaretto of the US and if he wins the bout then he’ll struggle the bronze medal play off for repechage with winner of the bout between Armenian Sargis Harutyunan and Iuri Chapidze of Georgia.
