Chris Silverwood has resigned as the pinnacle coach of the Sri Lanka nationwide crew, citing private causes. In a press release launched by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Silverwood expressed his want to spend time along with his household after being ‘away from family members.’
The Englishman’s resignation comes days after Sri Lanka legend Mahela Jayawardene parted methods with the nationwide crew after serving as a marketing consultant.
“Being a world coach means lengthy durations away from family members. After prolonged conversations with my household and with a heavy coronary heart, I really feel it’s now time for me to return residence and spend some high quality time collectively,” stated Silverwood.
