Lucknow Tremendous Giants (LSG) on Saturday introduced New Zealand pacer Matt Henry because the alternative for England all-rounder David Willey for the remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Willey has pulled out of the match as a result of private causes.
Willey give up worldwide cricket after final 12 months’s ODI World Cup in India and missed Lucknow’s IPL opener towards Rajasthan Royals final week.
He’s the second English participant to go away Lucknow this season following the withdrawal of Mark Wooden, who was pulled out by the English cricket board to handle his workload forward of the T20 World Cup in June.
Henry joins in at his base worth of Rs 1.25 crore.
Henry has represented New Zealand in 25 Assessments, 82 ODIs and 17 T20s up to now. Prior to now, he has been part of Punjab Kings and Chennai Tremendous Kings. He featured in two IPL video games for Punjab in 2017.
