Michael Jones, who was finest often called Ted DiBiase’s bodyguard Virgil in WWF within the late Nineteen Eighties and early Nineteen Nineties, has died at age 61. Information of Jones’ demise was initially shared by Mark Charles III, a wrestling referee and good friend of Jones.

Jones educated with Afa of the Wild Samoans in 1985 after assembly wrestling star Tony Atlas at a fitness center. Jones would have his first WWF match the next 12 months however debuted in his most iconic position in 1987 when he was launched as Virgil, serving as a bodyguard for “The Million Greenback Man” Ted DiBiase.

Virgil would run interference for DiBiase, usually taking beatings from babyfaces as DiBiase would run to security. He was not a frequent in-ring competitor and served primarily within the bodyguard/supervisor position, although he did sometimes compete.

In 1991, Virgil turned on DiBiase, finally defeating his former employer at each WrestleMania and SummerSlam that 12 months.

Jones would once more land a distinguished position when he joined WCW as a member of the New World Order in 1996, becoming a member of the group with DiBiase.

In WCW, Jones glided by the title Vincent and sometimes wrestled whereas primarily serving as muscle for the group.

Jones wrestled his closing match in 2020.
