Nationwide weightlifting championships: Raja scripts new Nationwide mark to win males’s 61kg crown
M. Raja rode on his higher clear and jerk displaying to win the lads’s 61kg crown within the Nationwide weightlifting championships at Itanagar on Saturday.
Railways’ Raja recorded 158kg in clear and jerk to script a brand new Nationwide mark with a complete of 279kg and beat his closest competitor Guru Raja of Companies by six kg. All three podium finishers, together with third-placed Shankar Lapung, lifted an an identical 121kg in snatch.
Dipali Gursale’s snatch effort helped her safe the ladies’s 45kg title.
