Eight-time Grand Slam champion Samantha Stosur was Thursday named captain of Australia’s Billie Jean King Cup crew, succeeding Alicia Molik.
Molik is stepping down after main the crew for a decade, guiding them to the finals in 2019 and 2022, which was Stosur’s event swansong.
“I’ve bought years of enjoying expertise and one factor that I do know is how the women really feel while you stroll out on the courtroom to play for Australia,” the 39-year-old Stosur mentioned.
