The Milwaukee Brewers acquired first baseman/outfielder Jake Bauers from the New York Yankees in trade for outfielders Jace Avina and Brian Sánchez. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and Normal Supervisor Matt Arnold.
Bauers, 28, has performed 4 Main League seasons with Tampa Bay (2018), Cleveland (2019, 2021), Seattle (2021) and New York-AL (2023). He appeared in 84 video games with the Yankees this previous season, making 68 begins (26g in RF, 20g at 1B, 20g in LF, 2g at DH). He tied his profession excessive with 12 residence runs in 2023. Bauers is eligible for arbitration.
The left-handed hitter was initially chosen by the San Diego Padres within the seventh spherical of the 2013 First-12 months Participant Draft out of Marina (CA) Excessive Faculty.
