Wrestler Bajrang Punia was on Thursday granted bail by a Delhi courtroom in a felony defamation case filed by coach Naresh Dahiya, who had accused the highest wrestler of tarnishing his picture together with his assertion in the course of the protest in opposition to federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. In the course of the wrestlers’ protest, Bajrang had stated that Dahiya didn’t have any credibility to oppose the agitation since he himself was going through a rape case.
Dahiya had then moved the courtroom, which had summoned Bajrang, who not too long ago suffered defeat on the Asian Video games to return and not using a medal.
“Bajrang had sought exemption from bodily look and missed the primary three hearings. He appeared bodily immediately and the courtroom has granted him bail. The subsequent date for listening to is March 5,” advocate Rajesh Kumar Rexwal, who represented Dahiya, advised PTI after the proceedings.
Dahiya had contended within the courtroom that he has been acquitted within the rape case and Bajrang’s feedback introduced him dangerous identify.
Wrestlers Bajrang, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik had led a protest in opposition to WFI chief, alleging that he had sexually exploited a number of ladies wrestlers.
