Pakistan claims high spot in ODI rankings forward of Asia Cup 2023

Pakistan claimed the No.1 spot within the ODI staff rankings after beating Afghanistan within the third One-Day Worldwide on the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.

The Babar Azam-led aspect swept Afghanistan 3-0 within the three-match sequence and toppled Australia to say the highest spot. Archrival India is ranked third.

Pakistan has received eight of its 11 ODI matches this 12 months. It misplaced to New Zealand 1-2 at dwelling earlier than bouncing again to beat the Black Caps 4-1.

The highest rating in ODIs will come as a confidence booster for Pakistan forward of the Asia Cup, which begins later this month, and the ODI World Cup, scheduled to be held in India in October-November.
