The Giants are calling up their No. 2 prospect, infielder Marco Luciano, in response to a report from Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports activities Bay Space on Wednesday. The membership has not confirmed the transfer.
The 21-year-old Luciano, ranked the No. 15 general prospect within the recreation by MLB Pipeline, has discovered his stroke since getting promoted to Triple-A Â on July 18, hitting .292 with two homers whereas placing up a .995 OPS. He is hit .235 general this 12 months with 13 homers and 35 RBIs between Sacramento and Double-A Richmond.
San Francisco signed Luciano as a global free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2018, when he was ranked the No. 4 worldwide prospect out there.
